“Now when the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent them Peter and John, who came down and prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit. For He had not yet fallen upon any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then they began laying their hands on them, and they were receiving the Holy Spirit.

Acts 8:14-17

“Welcome Home”

The process to explore the Catholic faith is called the OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults). Your presence here is truly an honor, and we are deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in us. Walking alongside you, teaching you, and witnessing your faith journey is at the heart of our mission as Catholic Christians. It strengthens our own faith as we share in the life of Christ with you. Thank you for allowing us to accompany you on this sacred path. This journey of study and prayer generally takes a year. We gather once a month on Sunday morning following the Spanish Mass. Your sponsor will have additional meetings with you throughout the month. This one-on-one learning process allows more time to review topics significant to you.

Preparing Your Journey

  • We need copies of your Birth Certificate, and any Certificates of Catholic Sacraments already received (Baptism, 1st Communion, Confirmation, Matrimony). If baptized in another Christian faith, please provide a certificate of Baptism along with your Birth Certificate.

  • You must attend your OCIA classes, these will be scheduled between you and your teacher.

  • You will be required to have a sponsor. Once you decide on an eligible sponsor, please fill out this form and turn it into the office or your teacher. Sponsor Form

  • You are expected to attend Mass. Our current Mass Schedule is on our home page.

  • All parish registration information is confidential and will only be used for the purpose of registering you and/or your family into our Faith Formation Programs.
