Dear Father John, and parishioners of the Northwest Tri-Parish,

It was a great joy to be able to celebrate the 100th anniversary of St. Michael's Parish in Craig.

Parish life is clearly vibrant and the parishioners have every reason to rejoice at this great

milestone. I pray that, just as the stones of the parish stand as a firm testament to the fidelity of

God's promises, your people will continue to proudly and joyfully proclaim the Gospel throughout

Craig, Meeker, Rangely, and beyond.

Thank you also for the gift of a beautiful miter on the occasion of my visit! Know of my gratitude

to the Father for the blessings he has bestowed on all of you, and through you, on me. Be assured

of my prayers for you as we begin this new year!
